Why it matters

Good upkeep works at two levels.

It cares for your own property while reinforcing the appearance, confidence, and long-term desirability of the community around it.

01

Protect your property

Small exterior issues can become larger and more expensive when they are left unattended. Timely cleaning, painting, trimming, and repair help protect the materials already in place.

02

Strengthen curb appeal

Clean, consistent, well-maintained homes create a more welcoming first impression for residents, visitors, buyers, and appraisers.

03

Support the whole community

In a shared community, the condition of one exterior can affect the appearance of the entire street. Keeping each property in good condition is a practical way to look after one another.

04

Support long-term value

Good upkeep cannot guarantee a sale price or an increase in equity, but it can support buyer confidence, marketability, and the long-term appeal of the community.

A quick visual guide

Small exterior improvements can make a meaningful difference.

This short video offers approachable ideas for improving curb appeal. Start with the work identified for your property and follow your association's approval requirements.

  • Clean and trim before assuming a full replacement is needed.
  • Give visible entrances, paint, landscaping, and small repairs prompt attention.
  • Confirm association approval, material, and color requirements before changing an exterior.

When the work is complete

Update us through AppFolio—and add a photo.

Using the portal keeps your message, completion details, and photos connected to the correct property record. That gives you and the management team a clear history and helps us close the item without unnecessary back-and-forth.

Photo tip

Stand far enough back to show the full corrected area, then add a closer view if the repair or cleaning is easier to see up close.

  1. Sign in to AppFolio

  4. Attach clear photos

Include one photo showing the full area and, when helpful, one close-up. Good lighting and a clear view help us review the work promptly.

  5. Submit and keep the record

Send the update through the portal. Management will review the information and close the item once the correction is confirmed.

Completion deserves recognition.

Once we confirm the correction, we can document the completed work, notify you that the item is resolved, and close the record. That final step matters just as much as the original notice.
